What is openin2030?

Openin2030 is a time-locked public record. It allows a finite number of people to create a public entry today that will remain sealed until January 1st, 2030.

What happens when I reserve a slot?

You reserve one slot and gain the right to create one public entry. You can write, edit, and review your entry until you decide to lock it.

Can I edit my entry later?

You can edit your entry only while it is in draft. Once an entry is locked, it cannot be changed.

When does my entry become public?

All entries open publicly on January 1st, 2030.

There is no early access. There are no previews.

When does user registration open?

Registration and slot reservation will open on February 26, 2026. (02.26.2026)

Is my entry public?

Yes. All entries are public when they open in 2030. You may choose to publish anonymously, but the content itself will be public.

Can I remain anonymous?

Yes. If anonymity is selected, your name will not be displayed with the entry.

How many slots exist?

There are exactly 20,301 slots. Once all slots are reserved, no more will be created.

Is this a subscription?

No. This is a one-time reservation. There are no recurring fees.

Can I transfer my slot?

At launch, slots are not transferable. If this changes, it will be clearly stated in the Rules.

What happens if I never write anything?

If no content is submitted, the slot will remain empty. Empty entries will still appear in the archive.

Can my entry be removed?

Locked entries are not removed. The holder is responsible for the content submitted.

Is there any moderation?

Entries are not edited or altered by openin2030. Content must comply with applicable laws. Illegal content may be restricted.

Can I get a refund?

No. Reservations are non-refundable. This project is based on long-term commitment.

What happens in 2030?

On January 1st, 2030, all entries become publicly accessible, the archive opens as a complete record.

Why should I trust this project?

Because its rules are fixed.
Because the inventory is finite.
Because nothing opens early.
Because nothing is editable after lock.
